A franchise is a business which has been created by a third party. Hopefully, they have mastered the business concepts of the business and instead of using their own capital, they sell locations/territories to investors called a franchisee. The franchisee must follow the rules of the franchisor, often purchase all products through the franchisor or their designated suppliers. The franchisor advertising for all the locations and is there to assist the franchisee learn and run the business.
